Photography consent

Blackpool Council has adopted S29 of the County of Lancashire Act meaning if you wish to charge members of the public to have their photograph taken, for example with a costume character or animal, you need consent from the council.

All individuals concerned with the photography are required to apply for their own permit, such as the person dressed in costume, the photographer, the person taking payment and / or any helpers.

Apply for consent to take photographs

Download and complete the application form [PDF 56KB] and return with the fee and supporting documents as stated on the form. On receipt of your complete application we aim to issue your consent within 5 working days.

Please note, consents will not be granted for Bank Hey Street.

Once granted, consents last for 12 months.
