Blackpool Clinical Commissioning Group (Blackpool CCG) represents 24 GP Practises across the Town and is responsible for commissioning (planning and purchasing) health services for the local population. Blackpool CCG also works closely with Fylde and Wyre CCG on provision of healthcare across the Fylde Coast.
Healthwatch Blackpool is the local independent "consumer champion" for health and social care, set up to help people who use services influence how they are planned and run and to help people make informed choices about the health and social care options available to them.

NHS England is responsible for directly commissioning primary care and specialised services. Locally. NHS England regional teams work with Clinical Commissioning Groups to ensure the commissioning of high quality health services and are represented on Health and Wellbeing Boards.
