The customer relations team oversees the process for adult and children’s services in relation to the following items:
- Customer feedback including comments, compliments and complaints
- MP Enquiries
- Councillor enquiries
- Local Government Ombudsman (LGO) Enquiries and Investigations
There are statutory procedures to be followed, as set out by the government, for adult's social care complaints and children’s social care complaints:
- Adult social care is governed by regulations relating to Department of Health under Making Experiences Count 2009 (MEC) Statutory Instruments.
- Children’s social care is governed by legislation - The Children Act 1989 Representations Procedure (England) Regulations 2006
