Arts for health

Arts for health offers creative courses to improve your well-being. We work in partnership with Blackpool Public Health and adult learning to offer free creative groups for people living in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. If you are feeling isolated, lacking in confidence and want to be part of a creative group then arts for health might be able to help. We offer courses for adults, elderly adults and young people.

How to get involved

You can join all of the adult / elderly adults groups below by asking a health professional to refer you or you can self-refer by getting in touch with Sarah Jay.

Back on track and Ucreate

Creative walking group

We work with the Wellness service to offer group members a chance to visit places of interest and go on creative walks to then use the inspiration gathered on these outings to work with different artists and create artwork.

Archive hour

You have the opportunity to come along every two weeks 3.00pm-4.00pm and have a look through Blackpool's beautiful archives. It`s a chance to chat and learn more about the archives, but also share your own Blackpool memories and stories.

Ucreate for young people

Ucreate provides creative groups for young people who may find it difficult to access mainstream groups, due to health or caring commitments. As part of these courses they have the opportunity to gain their arts award.
