Allotments

Allotments Blackpool allotments give local residents the chance to grow their own fresh vegetables, fruit and flowers at a fraction of shop prices, as well as reaping the additional rewards of keeping fit, meeting new people, exchanging gardening tips and knowledge and just being out in the fresh air!

Every year the Council holds an Allotment Competition and all plot holders are invited to enter this free competition in the hope of winning various coveted prizes and certificates. Judges look for high quality vegetables, fruit and flowers and also well maintained plots and sheds.

Each site has a representative and his/her role is to liaise between the Council and plot holders. In addition to the site representative plot holders, if they wish, can join the Allotment Association in order to gain further help, advice or support.

Some plots have been held for the use by community groups e.g. Sure Start, Richmond Fellowship Community Mental Health and the Langdale Centre. If you are a community group and would like to be involved with allotments please contact the office.

Please note that at present all sites do have a waiting list.
