Arts Awards for Young People

Arts Awards for Young People Arts Award for Young People

Over a 100 young people from Blackpool have achieved Arts Award at Bronze level through taking part in the Arts Service’s Arts Award Summer Schemes. A number of young people are currently working with the Arts Service towards their Silver and Gold Awards. Last year our Bronze and Silver students were delighted to have their awards presented to them by our very own local Art Hero, electropop star ‘Little Boots’.

During the summer holidays of 2010 we will be running our fourth Bronze Arts Award Summer Scheme. Young People, who are aged between 12 and 16 years and live in Blackpool or attend a Blackpool school can join the scheme. Places are limited so if you are interested in taking part this year you need to contact our Arts Award centres well before the scheme’s start date to register your interest. This year the scheme will run between July 26th and August 18th. Young people can choose to take part in two of the following artist led weeks and can take part in extra activities including trips to arts venues and events in Liverpool, Manchester and Blackpool.
