Blackpool Housing Strategy

Blackpool Housing Statement

Blackpool BC has developed an action plan under the Fylde Coast Housing Strategy  - the Blackpool Housing Statement. This sets out how we will deliver the priorities identified in the Fylde Coast Housing Strategy in the Blackpool area over the next three years (2009 – 2012). The Blackpool Housing Statement is also available below or by selecting "Publications" from the list on the right.

The Fylde Coast Housing Strategy and Blackpool Housing Statement together set out a long term agenda for change in the housing offer of the area and short term actions for housing services to respond to current issues. They should help deliver:

- Better housing services that meet current requirements
- Improved value for money as better co-ordination increases the effectiveness of local authority and housing association services, and we work to achieve a clear shared vision for the future of the area
- More public funding by presenting a coherent vision for the whole housing market area and a compelling case for external agencies to buy into

A Fylde Coast Strategic Housing Market Assessment report that informed the development of the Fylde Coast Housing Strategy can be accessed by clicking on this link to Blackpool BC website Planning Policy section
