Books and Reading

You can chose from a wide range of titles at any of the Blackpool libraries. Whatever your interest, the library has books to cover most tastes.

Reading Groups

Some people enjoy the solitary nature of reading. Others want to share their reading experiences with others. Reading groups can help you do this. Most Blackpool Libraries hold reading groups where people come together to meet with like minded people to talk about the books they have enjoyed. These relaxed and friendly settings offer people the chance to make new friends and find out about different writers. Groups meet once a month and discuss all kinds of materials. They are always pleased to welcome new members so contact your nearest library.

Alternatively check out a group near you on the reading groups website
or local reading groups (click links to access)

Book Prizes

If you have a particular interest you may find that there is a prize for the best books in this area. The following websites may tempt you to read something new:

Orange prize

Richard and Judy

Man Booker prize

Fantastic Fiction
