Blackpool Music Service

Blackpool Music Service supports Blackpool's schools by offering qualified, CRB checked instrumental teachers to provide individual and ensemble lessons to pupils. Numerous activities are offered to all Blackpool schools including:

Concerts.
Demonstrations.
Workshops.
Operettas.

All activities involve 'hands-on' sessions for pupils. These activities are delivered by experienced professional performers and provide the main initiative to encourage pupils to take part in music making.

Workshops have been delivered to more than 70% of Blackpool pupils every year since 2002.

Other performing opportunities include events in many of our prestigious theatres including Choir of the Year, Pop Stars, Schools Alive, Multi-Cultural Music Festivals and Play Away Days.

Blackpool's unique approach to meeting this requirement was recognised as being within the top 10 authorities in the Uk by the National Council of Music in 2005.
