Bulky Matters

Bulky Matters Welcome to the bulky waste collections webpage!!

What is Bulky Matters?

Bulky Matters is a partnership between Blackpool Council and the charity 'Furniture Matters', which aims to transform Blackpool's bulky waste into a reusable resource to benefit the community. The service collects large waste items from the Blackpool community and endeavours to re-use as many items as possible.

The service aims to collect furniture, soft furnishings, domestic electrical appliances, kitchen items, IT equipment, toys/games and bicycles, which will then be distributed to local reuse and charitable organisations, therefore reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill and helping those who need support. The service collects a wide range of items and will take them in any condition. Please see the list below for the items that can be collected.

How do I request a Bulky Collection?

All you have to do is ring Customer First on 01253 477477 and request a Bulky Collection. As the service is run on an appointment basis you will be able to choose the day and time of your collection.

How much will it cost?

To help cover some of the additional costs of the new service the following charges will apply:

3 items removed for £18, and £6 per every subsequent item

                                           **  4 for 3 offer  **
Save yourself £6 and get four items removed for the price of three!!

                                   Offer ends 31st May 2012

Please note that this is a pre-pay service and you will need your card details with you when you book your collection.

Bulky Matters will now collect bicycles, spectacles and
mobile phones FREE with any paid Bulky collection
