The Capital Projects & Regeneration (CPR) division has been a key factor in the development of Blackpool since it became a unitary authority in 1997. The division has gone through many transformations in its history, and has evolved to meet the changing requirements of Local Government.
CPR has a proven approach to the management of projects that has enabled various project teams to successfully deliver a significant number of complex and challenging projects. Many of these have been localised, in support of education, and have been financed from various funding bodies.
Our approach employs standard Prince 2 governance procedures to establish a detailed framework through which key project goals and aims are confirmed, professional disciplines required by the project are identified, budget and timescales are agreed to administer the project in a controlled and transparent manner.
CPR comprises every expertise our Clients require to guide them from inception to the successful completion of their scheme; good communication is key to the success of any project, particularly one in which construction is involved. Minimising the need for communication by appointing an organisation with the ability to coordinate all aspects of a scheme is therefore an invaluable tool in ensuring success.
Our multi-discipline approach enables all members of the design team to provide an input into the scheme from feasibility right through to completion. This results in thorough, well rounded schemes that combine design excellence with the necessary pragmatism upon which our reputation is built and for which we are renowned.
With our in-house design team, we can assist you with your design, from initial concept through Planning Permission and Building Regulations Applications to full Construction Drawings. Alternatively, if you have your own design already, we can offer guidance through the minefield of making your own independent applications.
Another area where many customers need guidance and assistance is in setting up the project to achieve a workable schedule. Our Project Managers can take any level of responsibility you wish, from a simple review of your own schedule to setting up the project from scratch. Subsequently, we can monitor and review the schedule as you require. We can also offer support by using our extensive experience of writing and negotiating contracts so that you start on the right foot with your contractors.
