Highly Commended Multi-Agency Partnership!
The Springboard Team have been celebrating after they were nominated for the Best Achievement in Children’s Services at the Municipal Journal Achievement Awards 2009.
Although the award went to Bury Metropolitan Borough Council for their early intervention service Blackpool’s Springboard Initiative was highly commended for their multi-agency partnership work putting the welfare of the whole family at the heart of everything.
Focusing on Blackpool’s most complex families, Springboard has successfully changed the way services are delivered, to provide holistic integrated support for families with a variety of needs. Significant improvements have been made, notably a reduction in crime and family breakdowns, as well as positive impacts on Education, Housing and individual behaviour.
