Large fire at the Manor Hotel, Central Promenade that led to the evacuation of several hotels. A rest centre was established to care for the immediate welfare needs of the evacuees.

Large fire at a garage in Clevedon Road, North Shore, which led to the evacuation of 100 residents. A rest centre was established to care for the immediate welfare needs of the evacuees.

Severe storms which caused structural damage to several properties in Blackpool.

Large fire at the Saville Hotel, which led to the evacuation of several hotels. A rest centre was established to deal with the immediate welfare needs of the evacuees.

Large fire at the water tower on Dickson Road, which led to the evacuation of 200 residents. A rest centre was established to care for the immediate welfare needs of the evacuees. 52 people were accommodated overnight in local bed and breakfast / hotels.

Suspect package at Ellesmere Road, South Shore, which led to the evacuation of residents. A rest centre was established to care for the immediate welfare needs of the evacuees.

Large fire in multi-occupancy flats at Troutbeck Crescent, Mereside that led to the evacuation of residents. A rest centre was established to care for the residents and deal with their immediate welfare needs.
Saturday 23rd August 2003
Large fire at Devonshire Road Junior School, which completely destroyed the school. Pupils were relocated to other schools, whilst the new school was rebuilt. This was completed in 2006.
