Blackpool Council consults with its residents and service users through regular surveys.
Surveys play an important role in helping the council to understand what people think about local services - what's working and what isn't. Surveys also provide valuable data about how local services are seen to change over time, including people's preferences and expectations.
In December 2005, the Blackpool Quality of Life survey was undertaken to enable the council to gain a better understanding of what services residents currently use, to understand satisfaction levels with these services and also to find out whether residents feel these services are improving or deteriorating.
It also looked at a sense of belonging to Blackpool, feelings of safety in the area and quality issues with regards to local health services. |
