Council Housing General Information
On 15 January 2007 Blackpool Coastal Housing took over the management and maintenance responsibilities for Blackpool Council's 5,500 properties.

Blackpool Coastal Housing is a non-profit making organisation and the income it receives can only be spent on housing services for tenants and leaseholders. There is a contract between Blackpool Council and Blackpool Coastal Housing that sets out how homes will be managed.
Blackpool Coastal Housing is a limited company that is wholly owned by Blackpool Council. A board of directors manages the company.
The board is made up of: • 5 Tenant or Leaseholder members who are elected through a ballot by other tenants and leaseholders • 5 Councillor members who are nominated by Blackpool Council • 5 Independent members who are appointed by the other ten members of the board.
