How can I cash my Council Tax refund cheque if I don't have a bank account?

You can send the cheque back to us with a letter asking for the cheque to be re-issued in another name or you can bring the cheque into our Customer First Centre and ask for it to be cashed.

If you want the cheque cashing, you will need to bring two types of identification with you, preferably something like a driving licence or passport.  One of the types of identification should have your signature on it.

If the cheque is in joint names, you should send the cheque back to us straightaway with a letter signed by both of you.  Please give the reasons why the cheque is wrong and show what name you would like a new cheque to be sent in.  We will then change the cheque for you.
