Dance Development

Dance Development Role
We aim to initiate, develop, support and maintain dance opportunities throughout the local authority areas of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre for all ages and abilities with a particular focus on young people. We also want to aid joint working across the three authorities and to work collaboratively with partners in all areas of the job. We will be looking to develop and promote a wider appreciation and enjoyment of dance in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.

Questionnaire
We are carrying out a comprehensive survey of dance activities across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. If you’re involved in ballet, ballroom and tea dances, street dance, contemporary dance or anything in between we want to hear from you. Whether professional or amateur, young or old, we want to find out who’s working and delivering dance on the Fylde coast. We recognise that dance is hugely varied and includes many forms and styles and are keen to ensure that all forms of dance are included.

If people fill in the audit then we can understand what is needed to support dance. It also helps us to see where the gaps are and what the strengths and weaknesses are. You can complete the survey by using this link or download the word document, complete it and send it to jennifer.milne@blackpool.gov.uk

Newsletter
A bimonthly ''Fylde Coast Dance Update'' is now available to keep the dance network in touch with what's been happening, events/workshops coming up, training opportunities, work, information & research. If you would like to be on the contact list please email Jenny.

Dance Directory
We are in the process of collecting information for this so please email Jenny with any details to make sure you are on the list. It will be be connected up to the Fylde Coast Council web pages as well as other under discussion.

If you’d like to get in touch, Jenny would love to hear from anyone who dances, sees dance or is dance curious. Get in touch and talk about dance jennifer.milne@blackpool.gov.uk
