I can’t afford to pay all my bills, what should I do?

Pay priority and essential items in full (rent, mortgage, council tax, utilities etc). If you can’t pay them in full, pay as much as you can. Contact your creditors and explain why you are struggling with payments.
Pay non-priority items only if you have any money left after paying priority and essential items.  The 'Taking control of your money'  guide and printable budget sheet will help you with initial budgeting, get help with your situation from an independent debt adviser listed under 'who can help me with debt advice'
