How do I arrange for the Council’s Street Scene Drainage Team to unblock my Private drain/sewer?

Blackpool Council's Drainage Service offer a very competitively priced drainage service, which can be requested by contacting Customer First on 01253 477477.  Alternatively, you can contact them via E-Mail or by visiting our Customer First Centre at the Municipal Buildings.
Payment can be made over the phone via Customer First.

The current charges, effective from 1st April 2011 are: -                                   
  • For work to endeavour to clear a blockage from an external private sewer or drain: £60 inclusive of VAT. There is an additional fee of £15.00 should an invoice be required.
  • For work to endeavour to clear a blockage from an external private sewer or drain on a commercial / business premises: £70 inclusive of VAT. There is an additional fee of £15.00 should an invoice be required.
  Further to the above services, Blackpool Councils Drainage service can also provide a CCTV service which can be arranged for an additional cost if you wish.  The person requesting any of the above services will be regarded as being the owner of the property or acting on behalf of the owner(s) of the blocked pipe work and will be invoiced for the total cost of the work if you have not pre-paid.
