How will I know if it is my drain that is blocked?

If it is your drain that is blocked then you will normally notice because your wastewater from the toilet will not empty properly when it is flushed or the external drains will start to overflow.
You will also probably notice a foul smell either in your property or outside near your drains.

Private sewers and drains are the responsibility of the occupier/owners and any other properties that may be connected to it.  If required, Blackpool Council's Street Scene Team can arrange for clearance of a blocked drain through their Drainage Team, which provides a professional service at highly competitive rates.
