A licence is required from the Local Authority to hold or sell fireworks in any premises.
If you store fireworks you will probably need to obtain an explosives registration. If you intend to store large amounts of fireworks, or wish to sell them outside certain periods, you may also need to hold a storage licence.
Trading Standards will be notified of any applications and may inspect premises to ensure that safety conditions are met prior to the Council issuing a licence.
