Grants to Improve your Home What is the Warm Front Grant?
Warm Front is a national, Government-funded initiative, providing energy efficiency grants in partnership with Eaga Partnership Ltd. The Warm Front grant now includes the provision of central heating systems for all clients. You could receive a combination of the following:
- Loft insulation
- Draughtproofing
- Cavity-wall insulation
- Hot-water-tank insulation
- Gas electric or oil central heating
- Repairs to your existing heating system
- Converting a solid-fuel open fire to a glass-fronted fire.
The grants are for people who own their home or rent it from a private landlord.
The Warm Front Grant provides a package of energy efficiency and heating measure up to the value of £3,500.
If the property has oil central heating the maximum is £6,000.
If you own your own home or rent it from a private landlord you may be able to claim a grant of up to £3,500 under the Warm Front Scheme.
If you are over 60, own your own home or rent privately, and you do not receive a Warm Front qualifying benefit, you could claim a £300 heating rebate to help pay towards repairing or installing a heating system. If you own your own home, or rent it from a private landlord and you or your partner are aged 60 or over, and in receipt of one or more of the following benefits
- Income support
- Housing benefits
- Council tax benefits
- Income-based job-seeker's allowance
- Pension credit
or you or your partner have a child under 16 or you are pregnant, and in receipt of one or more of the following benefits
- Income support
- Housing benefits
- Council tax benefits
- Income-based job-seeker's allowance
- Pension credit
or you or your partner are in receipt of one or more of the following benefits:
- Working tax credit (with an income less than £16,040 and which must include a disability element)
- Child tax credit (with an income less than £16,040)
- Attendance Allowance
- Disability Living Allowance
- Income support (which must include a disability premium)
- Housing benefit (which must include a disability premium)
- Council tax benefit (which must include a disability premium)
- Industrial injuries disablement benefit (inc. constant attendance allowance)
- War Disablement Pension (inc. constant attendance allowance or mobility supplement)
- Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit (which must include a constant attendance allowance)
