Footway Parking

Motorists should not park on the footway as this is an offence which:

may cause obstruction to pedestrians (especially those with sight impairment, wheelchair users, or people with buggies)
can damage the footway and consequently create trip hazards; drivers of vehicles who do park or drive on the footway may be liable for the costs of necessary repairs

If there are restrictions (i.e. yellow lines), then the matter can be dealt with by Parking Services (01253 476395).

If there are no parking restrictions on the section of road you should contact Lancashire Constabulary on 0845 125 3545 to make a complaint about a vehicle parked on the footway.
