The Story of The Supremes from the Mary Wilson Collection
A V&A exhibition in collaboration with The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum

The performance costumes of The Supremes, one of the most successful groups of the 1960s, are on display at Grundy Art Gallery, Blackpool from 26 November 08 to 1 February 09. The exhibition displays over fifty outfits which chart the changing image of the group, from their early days when they were known as The Primettes to the glamorous Hollywood designs they wore at the height of their fame.

Set against the backdrop of the meteoric rise of Motown Records and of the American civil rights movement, the exhibition explores both the inspirational role the The Supremes played in changing racial perceptions and their influence on today's performers.

Grundy will be open 7 days a week during this exhibition, 10am to 5pm. Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Free Admission as normal.
