Funeral - Arranging a Funeral

Funeral - Arranging a Funeral You need to make an appointment to register a death and usually this has to be done within 5 days of the date of death. If the death took place in Blackpool you need to contact the Registrars Service on (01253) 477177 who can provide you with more information.

Clear instructions in writing should be given to the person who will be responsible for making the funeral arrangements. Such instructions are, however, not binding in law and it will therefore be necessary to ensure that the person instructed is someone who is likely to carry out your wishes.

The final decision will rest with the next of kin or executors. Please use this link for information about documents you will need when arranging a funeral.
