Do relatives need to decide about disposal of cremated remains at the conclusion of the cremation?

The Funeral Director or Cemeteries and Crematorium Manager will talk with relatives about the alternative arrangements which may be adopted for the disposal of cremated remains.

The Executor or nearest surviving relative will need to sign a form of authority advising Blackpool Crematorium of the family's wishes.

If you are undecided, DO NOT sign any authority as it is possible for the cremated remains to be retained at the Crematorium until you are sure.

We will contact you in writing after at least one month after the cremation to advise you we are still holding the cremated remains.
