Funeral - Memorials

Blackpool Crematorium has several forms of memorial.  The most popular is the Book of Remembrance.  The book is displayed in the Retiring Room at the Crematorium Chapel and entries are available for viewing on the day of the anniversary requested.

Wall Tablets and Niches are available which are situated around the Garden of Remembrance and for those who want a family grave, there are Cremated Remains graves.  All memorials with the exception of the Book of Remembrance are provided for a limited period.

The Book of Remembrance is situated within the Crematorium Chapel at Carleton.  It is a quiet room where you can sit and remember your loved one and view the entry previously made.  Please use this link to download a copy of our Book of Remembrance Entry Application Form.  This can be printed off, completed and then sent back to the address on the form.

To apply for a Stone Memorial please use this link.  Fees can be calculated using our Fee Table which includes some samples of tablets.

If you wish to bury cremated remains and have their position marked with a permanent memorial, please note that the Garden of Remembrance attached to the Crematorium does not provide for the erection of permanent memorials as it is not a burial ground.

Cremated remains placed in the Garden of Remembrance are not contained in a casket or container of any kind.  If you require a permanent memorial it  will be necessary to have the cremated remains buried in the Cremated Remains section of the cemetery.

The Cremated Remains section will allow up to six sets of remains to be buried in the plot and a headstone can be placed at the head of the grave on the concrete runner.

The current Cremated Remains section is around our wild-life pond at Carleton.
