Gaming Machines Permit

Gaming Machines Permit Under the Gambling Act 2005, the number and type of gaming machines permitted varies according to the category of premise they are in. Certain premises - such as takeaways and taxi offices - are not permitted to have gaming machines.   There are four classes of gaming machines - categories A to D - which have varying maximum stakes and prizes as follows:   
Category of Machine Maximum Stake Maximum Prize
A Unlimited Unlimited
B1 £2 £4,000
B2 £100 £500
B3 £1 £500
B4 £1 £250
C £1 £70
D 10p or 30p when non-monetary prize £5 cash or £8 non-monetary prize
