H Markings

H markings are advisory markings used to highlight vehicle accesses and to deter motorists from parking in front of a dropped kerb. Parking is not permitted on these markings.

The Councils Civil Enforcement Officers may issue a ticket where they feel an obstruction is being caused and a vehicle is prevented from leaving a driveway. You can contact the Civil Enforcement Officers on 01253 476395.

If you have a legal vehicle crossing (driveway) or garage and wish to apply for an H Marking, please make your request to the Traffic Management Section on 01253 476187 or by email to traffic.management@blackpool.gov.uk.

The cost of an H marking is £115.00 for up to the first 4.5m, (£2.50 for each additional full or part metre).

Please note, if there are any parking restrictions, e.g. double or single yellow lines outside your property, you will not qualify for an H marking.
