Could I receive any support throughout my homeless period?
Housing related support services – temporary support
Helping people at risk of homelessness, losing their tenancy or having to move to less independent accommodation. What help might be available? The team’s support workers can help with things like:
- managing money and benefits
- advice about day-to-day living
- keeping a tenancy
- getting help from other places
The team works with people to help them to become independent and be able to do things for themselves.
How does the team work?
- Visiting you to find out more about your situation and the help you need - called an assessment
- Working with you to agree and write down what can be done to meet your needs - called a support plan
- Regularly checking that the help you’re getting is meeting your needs - called a review
- Providing advice about and putting you in touch with other services that might help you.
- The team does not charge for the help it provides.
Housing Related Temporary Support Services only provides short-term help. The team will explain more about this when they visit.
