Hazardous Waste
Asbestos:
- Blackpool Council offers a disposal service for asbestos at the Household Waste Recycling Centre,
Bristol Avenue, Bispham, FY2 0JG.

Fridges and T.V/computer monitors:
- These items are now classed as hazardous waste items as they contain hazardous elements and need to be treated before they can be recycled.
- Blackpool Council can arrange for removal of these items. The cost of removal is £18.00 (for up to 3 items, every item after this will be charged at £6.00)
The Customer First team can take your payment and arrange a collection date for you; this can be set at a time and date that suits you.
If you are able to take your fridge/T.V monitor to the HWRC yourself it can be disposed of for free.
Other hazardous waste items that cannot be collected with your general waste, such as gas cylinders and other chemicals can be disposed of for free at the Household Waste recycling Centre.
