Why have I had an invoice for a Housing Benefit overpayment?

This will have been explained to you in the notification letter that was sent to you a few weeks before you received the invoice.

You will probably have had an invoice because you have an overpayment of Housing Benefit which is recoverable from you, and you are not currently receiving enough / any Housing Benefit from which we can recover the overpayment (a clawback).
