MyHomeChoice
Three councils and six housing organisations have joined together to create a simpler application system. Previously separate applications had to be made to each organisation. But now those seeking a new home in the area will have to fill in just one application form to register their interest.
Blackpool, Fylde Borough and Wyre Councils, Blackpool Coastal Housing, New Fylde Housing, Regenda Group, Great Places Housing Group, Places for People and the Muir Group have created the new MyHomeChoiceFyldeCoast scheme which was launched on 8th May 2012.
It replaces all the organisations’ existing housing application systems in the Fylde coast area.
Available properties will be advertised each week through the new scheme. Property details will be available both on-line and through each organisations’ local offices.
Applicants interested in a particular property can express an interest, known as a “bid”, on-line, by telephone, e-mail or by calling into one of the organisations’ housing offices.
Introduction to Blackpool Housing Options
Housing Applications is part of the Housing Options Service and following the restructure of the Housing Options service we have changed some of our working processes and we now operate a generic approach to initial assessments. This means that customers now only have to complete one assessment form to be able to access all housing options. With effect from Monday 31 October 2011 we will be closed to the public on Wednesday mornings until 1.00pm. Telephone contact however will still be available on 477760 for urgent enquiries. In addition, from the same date, we will be introducing an appointment system to provide a better quality service and reduce waiting times for our customers.
We are located in the Care and Support Building on South King Street, Blackpool. You can contact us in any of the following ways:
By post at: Housing Options, South King Street, Blackpool FY1 4TR.
