When you contact Housing Applications we will:
Help you quickly….
- we will aim to decide which band you are in and register your application within five working days
- the working day after you are registered we will write to you to confirm your priority band, registration number and the type of property you can bid for
- we will answer your questions immediately , and if we cannot help you we will find out who can
- If you need a home visit we will arrange an appointment within 10 working days.
Get it right first time….
- we will help you with your application if you need us
- if we cannot register your application immediately we will tell you why
- with your agreement, we will refer you to other services that may help you
- we will tell you how to ask for a review if you disagree with a decision
Give you what you need…..
- we will assess your application form fairly, taking your needs into account
- we will give you advice on your housing options
- we will tell you how likely it is that you will get the type of property in the area you are asking for
- we will provide information in a way that best suits your needs, including large print, Braille, audiotape or community language
