How can I claim Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit?

If you are under 60 years of age and you get either:
  • Income Support
  • Job Seeker's Allowance (income or contributions based)
  • Incapacity Benefit
you will make your claim through Job Centre Plus. Please use this link to view the Job Centre Plus Website for more information.

If you are about to claim Employment Support Allowance Jobcentre Plus will send you an application form for Housing and Council Tax Benefit through the post.

If you are aged 60 or over, you can get a claim form through the Pension Service. Please use this link to the Pension Service website for more information.

If you do not fall into one of the above groups come and see us at the Customer First Centre and a Benefit Assessor will start the application process with you.
