Joint Strategic Needs Assessment

Under the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007, Blackpool Council and Blackpool Primary Care Trust have a new statutory duty to prepare a Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA).

A Joint Strategic Needs Assessment gathers information about the current and future health and well-being needs of the local population. The information gathered will be used to plan services that meet the needs of people in Blackpool over the short (three to five years) and longer term (up to ten years). Feedback from individuals and groups in the local area will be an important part of this process.
