Community Waste Solutions

Community Waste Solutions provides support on all aspects of enterprise development for existing and emerging community-based sustainable waste management within Lancashire.
Community Waste Solutions funding is available for any non profit making group or organisation that are involved in activities that will reduce, reuse or recycle materials that would otherwise end up in the (municipal) residual waste stream and contribute to Lancashire and Blackpool Council’s targets of either:
Funding is available in two tiers:
All applications must demonstrate value for money for the funding authorities. Applications to the over £2,500 tier will be need to provide more detail with a well developed project plan, evidence of staff/organisation experience, evidence of need, business plan etc
Who can apply for one?
You can apply for a Community Waste Solution if you are a
- member of the Lancashire Community Recycling Network
- community or voluntary organisation
- not for profit group
- charity
- parish or town council
- uniformed organisation
- youth group
- school, college, university or other educational establishment
- hospital, prison or other building where waste falls into the category of “household” or “schedule 2” waste
