There is a Children’s Library near your neighbourhood. Every branch has a children’s area and at larger branches there is also a dedicated ‘Teen-Zone’ In each welcoming and comfortable area you will find books for babies, toddlers, emergent as well as competent readers, teens and parent/carers and much more

For under 12’s
· A large selection of story books – board books, paperbacks and hardbacks · Information books including Encyclopaedias and Dictionaries · Simple Language course books · Talking books (Cassette and CD) · DVDs · Comics and magazines · Videos in some branches but these are being withdrawn in favour of more modern formats. · Computers · Free Internet access · Dedicated homework/study computers · Printing and photocopying facilities · Librarians happy to help · Book Crawl for Babies · Story times for U5s · Chatterbooks Groups (at selected libraries only) · X-Box Games Club (at Palatine Library only) · Activity and Craft Workshop events · Author and Storyteller Events
