Libraries - Joining the Library Joining the library.

To become a member of the library is free. No identification/proof of address is required to borrow books or spoken word items or for PC use. If you wish to borrow any audiovisual item (except spoken word) you will need to produce one form of ID with address. When you visit the library you will be required to complete a simple joining form. This form can be obtained from your local library or by printing a copy via one of the links below. A library card will then be issued to you. This can be used to borrow items or to book a PC on your first visit to the library.
