
Blackpool Council are now operating a new and advanced service for submitting Local Authority Searches or requests for component data online. It is called Public Access and is a fast, efficient and user-friendly method of submitting your Local Authority Searches.

Making a Local Authority Search To make a search to Blackpool Council you will need to:
- Provide the full address of the property
- Send us a location plan with the area to be searched marked in red
- Pay the appropriate fee (detailed at the end of this document)
Ways of submitting a Search
- By using our ONLINE service
Using Public Access is the quickest and easiest way of submitting a search. Instructions on how to register and use the service can be found here.
Your search will be returned to you by email.
Once registered with this service your details are retained, so there is no need to provide the details every time you use the system.
- By Post
For a search of the Local Land Charges Register send a completed LLC1
For a search of the Register and replies to Enquires send a completed LLC1 and Con29R
For additional questions send CON29O
Payment can be made on-line using the ‘Pay For It’ pages or by cheque made payable to 'Blackpool Council'.

Your search will be returned to you by email or post if requested.
- Via National Land Information Service (NLIS) (You will need to register with them)
- Via other search channels (You will need to register with them)
Component Data
If you only require part of a search you can select from 17 different components. The easiest way is by using
Public Access and paying the fee online. However, forms are available to print off from our website if you prefer.
Turnaround Times
We aim to complete Local Authority searches submitted to us within five working days.

Copy Documents Requests for copy planning permissions or building regulation approvals should be emailed to planning@blackpool.gov.uk. Payment must be made before the document is provided, and can be made on-line using the ‘Pay For It’ pages or by phone 01253 476337.
Requests can also be made in writing to : Planning Department, PO Box 17, Corporation Street, Blackpool, FY1 1LZ enclosing a cheque for the fee made payable to Blackpool Council.
Copy Decision Notices/Completion Certificates are currently charged at £20 each.
Requests for copies of documents relating to any other charges registered in the Local Land Charges Register should be emailed to: land.charges@blackpool.gov.uk or forwarded in writing to Local Land Charges.
The fee for this will be notified to you as it will vary according to the nature of the document requested.
