Management Regulations for Houses in Multiple Occupation MANAGEMENT REGULATIONS IN HOUSES IN MULTIPLE OCCUPATION (HMOs)
The Housing Act 2004 has introduced new management regulations for Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs). The regulations require HMOs to have an electrical installation certificate every five years, adequate water supply into the property, suitable refuse units, adequate drainage and supply of gas and electricity into the property.
