Ceremony Fees
The cost of a Marriage or Civil Partnership Ceremony depends on where and when it takes place.

Fees for Marriage and Civil Partnership from 01 April 2012.
A Festival House or Approved Venue ceremony includes the fee for a Superintendent Registrar to conduct the ceremony and a Registrar to legally register the marriage or civil partnership. You also need to add onto the ceremony fee the cost of one 'Certified Copy Certificate for a marriage or civil partnership, at time of registration.'
You can purchase additional copies of your marriage or civil partnership certificate at the time of your ceremony, but please let the Registrar know in advance if you require more than one copy. The cost of your marriage or civil partnership certificate will then rise as soon as the ceremony is over.
You can also purchase a Commemorative Certificate to mark your special day.
An example of the typical costs involved in booking a Blackpool based civil ceremony is illustrated below. (The Tower View Room and Approved Venue costs assume ceremony takes place on a Saturday. The Register Office Room is only available however Monday to Thursday).

Remember that these costs won't necessarily be due at once. You would pay your notice fee at the time of your appointment (and possibly your provisional booking fee) which can be done one year to the day ahead of your ceremony date.
The fee for a Superintendent Registrar and Registrar to conduct the ceremony and copies of certified certificates are payable on the day for a Register Office ceremony, whereas a Tower View Room or Sea View Room (at Festival House) or an Approved Venue ceremony is payable six weeks before the ceremony (at the latest). Commemorative certificates must be ordered and paid for at least six weeks ahead of any ceremony.
Please note: your chosen venue may also charge a fee to hold your ceremony there. Check with your chosen venue and the Registration Service to make sure that the date and time you require is available for our registrars to attend.
