MARRIAGE You have four options of where you can marry in England and Wales.
- Any Register Office (A civil marriage)
- An Approved Venue - usually a hotel (A civil marriage)
- A Registered Building - this is a Nonconformist place of religious worship and includes Roman Catholic Churches, Sikh Temples and Mosques (A non-conformist religious marriage)
- A Church of England or Church in Wales (A conformist religious marriage).
If you intend to marry in a Church of England or Church in Wales church, then you don’t need to read any further. These pages give information for civil and nonconformist marriages only, so you should now contact your Minister or Vicar. You can find more information from the Church of England website.
