Where is the on-site Ranger Station?
A new Ranger Station has been created by Blackpool Council’s Ranger Service in partnership with Bourne Leisure. The Ranger Station is located on Marton Mere Holiday Village, south east of the reserve. It was opened by Professor David Bellamy OBE in June 2007 and contains leaflets, interesting displays, TV screens projecting images from our exciting bird cams, as well as first aid facilities and a public toilet. The Ranger Station is staffed by dedicated volunteers, who will offer advice and information. Opening hours are: Monday to Sunday 10.00 a.m-3.00 p.m – there may be times when it will be closed for training purposes or special events.
