How much is the Masterplan going to cost and where will the money come from?
It is estimated that the level of change envisaged in the Masterplan will cost in excess of £1 billion. Until ideas are turned into firm development proposals this estimate cannot be fully tested.
Projects will be paid for through a mix of public and private sources. Investment from the Public sector will include European grants, Single Regeneration Budget, North West Development Agency, English Partnerships and a variety of other sources.
