Parks and Open Spaces Blackpool has a wealth of green space that sits comfortably alongside the resort’s famous landmarks. Wander away from the dazzling lights and crowds and you will find a more tranquil experience in one of our green spaces dotted around the town. All our parks are within public ownership and provide a setting for activities that go beyond recreation; quality cultural and sporting events, holiday activities, environmental education, volunteer programmes, family picnics and more.

The Council’s Parks and Green Environment Service manages a number of services and facilities including:

· Park Development · Parks Maintenance · Play Areas and Sports Facilities · Ranger Service · Tree Services · Stanley Park Golf Course · Allotments · Cemeteries and Crematorium

The Parks Event Programme has now come to an end until April 2010 - however, the Rangers are holding walks during winter - details of which can be found under Publications on the right hand side of the Ranger Service web-page.
