In previous years Blackpool Council have provided a wide range of pest control services to both domestic and business premises. However, as a result of the recent Comprehensive Spending Review it has been determined that there is a requirement to reduce the number of staff within this service and unfortunately, as a result, the Pest Control Service will now only be provided to Business/Commercial Premises.
The only exception is the removal of wasp nests from domestic premises, a service which we will continue to provide during the summer months at a cost of £45.00. If an officer comes out and only gives advice, as in the case of certain types of bees, then a charge of £20.00 will apply - the other £25.00 will be refunded.
For those Businesses/Commercial premises that are still interested in using the Pest Control Service, you should be aware that there is still a charge for our service, although you will find our prices very competitive.

Although Blackpool Council are not currently in a position to provide a Domestic Pest Control Service, we would like to advise that it is our intention to provide the residents of Blackpool with a list of reputable Pest Control contractors that could be used. This list is currently being compiled and will feature on this site in due course.
