How do I apply for a new premises licence?
An application for a Premises Licence should be accompanied by:
- The correctly completed 'Application for a New Premises Licence' form
- A plan of the premises
- The correct fee (based on the rateable value of the premises)
- A consent of DPS form (if alcohol is to be supplied)
Copies of the application should be sent to the seven responsible authorities, and the application should be advertised on the premises and in a local newspaper. New applications for premises licences may be subject to objections from Responsible Authorities and local residents, and the Council's Licensing Committee may impose appropriate conditions to meet the licensing objectives.
