What happens if the Designated Premises Supervisor leaves?
No alcohol may be served at premises without a Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) who is in possession of a valid Personal Licence.
If the DPS leaves the premises, or informs the Licensing Service in writing that they have resigned from the position of DPS, then you should apply to vary the nominated DPS to another person who holds a Personal Licence. No interim measures are available with regard to the supply of alcohol without a DPS, therefore you are advised to make this application immediately upon the resignation of the outgoing DPS in order to continue supplying alcohol as part of your business.
