    At Trading Standards, it is our responsibility to enforce legislation concerned with the sale and supply of age-restricted products. It is only right therefore that we should be trying to safeguard the interests of all young people in Blackpool by providing Proof of Age Cards.

    In order to assist retailers to comply with legislation, we have been successfully running a Proof of Age Card Scheme since 2000 and gained PASS (Proof of Age Card Standards Scheme) Accreditation in 2005.

    Our Proof of Age cards contain photo ID and are accredited with the Pass logo. They are widely accepted in venues and retail outlets through Blackpool, and are available to all Blackpool students and residents aged between 16 and 25.                                         

    In response to consultation with our licence holders and customers, the Blackpool Card was relaunched in December 2010 to include a 16+ card (valid until the day before an applicants 18th birthday) and the 18+ card. The 18+ card has the added security of an embossed date to indicate when the holder reached the age of 18.

    Cards are issued through participating Blackpool Schools and applications can be made in person via our offices at Progress House and Customer First.

    Cardholders can also benefit from various offers and discounts associated with the card

    Proof of Age Card 16+ Cards are charged at £10 each and the application form is the same for both the 16+ and the 18+ cards.
