Proof of Age Card

Certain goods, like videos, tobacco, alcohol, fireworks etc. require the buyer to be a certain age.

The Proof of Age Card is a card which is available to Blackpool students and residents aged between 16 and 25

The card states your date of birth and age, and is accepted in many retailers in Blackpool and beyond as being proof of age.

If you are at school in Blackpool you should be offered a card automatically when you reach year 10, but if for some reason we've missed you please call us on 01253 478375 or call in to our offices at the address below.

A Proof of Age card can be obtained from:
Quality Standards Division
125 Albert Road
Blackpool
FY1 4PW

The offices are open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Thursday and 9 am to 4.30pm Friday.
To qualify for a Proof of Age card you will need to bring one of the following with you:
Driving Licence
Passport
or Current PASS accredited card

If you are unable to provide any of the above, you will need to find a 'Responsible Person' who is NOT related to you.

Details on who can act as a verifier and what documentation you need to supply them with to sign and photocopy are all on the application form in the pink box below.

The first card is free but a charge of £5.00 is made for any replacements. If you have any queries, please ring 01253 478375.
